Letters to my Beloved
63
Looking at your portrait
I write to you, my beloved
Make you memories of my soul
For the time thou shall lies ahead
You are my soul, you are my life
You are the meadow, amidst all strife
For we age and wear, we hang on a thread
I write to you, my beloved
No war, no feud can break us apart
Our love is beyond the society
No lie, no guilt and separate our path
Cause our souls are adhered to unity
You give me breath, you bring me love
When you are near me, all sorrows I shove
For love never dies, but bodies become dead
I write to you, my beloved
When you are away, happiness is forlorn
When tears you sway, heavens mourn
You make me dream of paradise and romance
Where lie you and me, and no one else stands
You are the word my heart understands
For it speaks your name, as it takes each stance
For the rebirth of souls lies too long ahead
I write to you my beloved
I think of you as you are not here
I fascinate a smile, so heavenly so dear
A smile so honest, a smile so rare
A smile without lust, trickery or fear
I wish I endear the smile all along
For without it, my soul is damned and forlorn
As I sit and smile in your memories in my head
I write to you, my beloved
